62 pages into Laurell Hamilton's The Harlequin, and I've lost track of who's fucking who, and I'm ready to throw the damn book at the wall.

Someone tell me again why the hell I keep reading her?

I have trouble believing she HAS an editor, based on the number of typos and whatnot I've come across in the last couple of books. It's disgusting. And yeah, she's destroyed not only the series, but the characters, as well.

I've been jumping between authors looking for a good vampire series. The Joe Pitt books by Charlie Huston are good if you like noir, but the last one, Half the Blood of Brooklyn is seriously gruesome.
