I can't believe I'm considering this. OMG.

Edit: Scratch that. I think I"m going to drive...and I'm bringing the kid with me. He can hang out in the hotel room and play video games and Do His Thing *g* I figure, considering the conversations he and I have had (not to mention the fact that he knows about slash, and that I slash Sam and Dean) and that he'll be almost 14 at the time of the con... he can probably deal with listening to a bunch of women giggling about Sam and Dean kissing. Or whatever.

Anyway. Yes. I'm going to go. Come. Something. And drive. Heh.

I really wanted to go to WinCon or EyeCon, but due to my fall semester schedule (including my Senior Thesis *gulp*) there is no way that I can afford to go time-wise.

Is there anyone you can leave Matthew with so you're free to squee wildly and at your whim? Every kid is obviously different but, even knowing about gay sex at 14, it probably would have been a bit overwhelming for me to be that aware of my mom's interest in gay incest porn.

(Not that she had an interest, mind you. Well, maybe she did. I just didn't know about it. :) )

Well, if I had someone to leave him with, I would. But that's my mom's birthday weekend, and I don't know that we'd have any more luck with my sister than we had the last time I tried for a few days to myself. But he's not going to actually attend the con with me--the events, I mean. He'll be in our room playing video games and going to the pool and swimming and what not.

I don't actually plan to have him hanging out for the slash conversations and whatnot. Because yeah, there are some things he can be aware of, but doesn't need to KNOW, definitely.
