An interesting article about a virtual resource center for those with austism spectrum disorders, within the online environment "Second Life":
iReport: 'Naughty Auties' battle autism with virtual interaction
In other news, it's 79.7F in here, we have three large fans running, and between the heat and the noise, I have the headache from hell. Bleh.

Date: 2008-03-31 03:01 pm (UTC)It's not good for us, or the stuff held in storage; we have Bio material (DNA, rape kits, stuff like that) that's supposed to be kept in cold storage. "Cold storage" is supposed to be 58F or cooler...and it's not. It stinks back there, now, because all that stuff has been exposed to warm(er) temps and is breaking down. O.o
Unfortunately for us, and I know this because I looked it up, OSHA has no set standards that have to be met for "personal comfort" situations, such as office space. It has suggested guidelines, but we can't file a grievance over suggested guidelines. Dammit.
