five years
Mar. 19th, 2008 09:03 amI can't believe it's been five years since the (2nd) Gulf War began.
Five years. With nearly 4,000 service men and women killed, and over 29,000 wounded.
I spent nearly ten years of my life as an army wife; Doug did his time during the first Gulf War -- and so many of the issues he's dealing with today are directly related to that.
To the men and women who are currently serving in the military, stationed over in the Middle East, and those who support them in whatever capacity: spouse, parent, child, friend, etc., my prayers and hopes remain with them and with you, along with my thanks.
