By way of liz_w, Roy Scheider dies at 75

I remember seeing him in Jaws -- that movie scared the bejesus out of me. I loved his character in 2010: The Year We Make Contact, and of course, as Captain Bridger, in SeaQuest DSV.

Rest in peace, Roy. You'll be missed.

Oh, man! I loved him! "Jaws" is absolutely one of my all-time favorite movies -- it's totally slashy, btw -- and oh, man, "The French Connection," and "All That Jazz" (!!!!!), and "Sorcerer," and oh, a bunch of stuff.
