A/N: agt_spooky's not feeling well, so I thought I'd send a little comfort, via Sam and Dean. Feel better, Barb. *hugs*




Something deliciously cool and damp slid across his forehead, and Sam forced one eye open just enough to see Dean hovering.

"It's just a headache." Headache didn't quite cover the way his head felt like it was about to explode, but whatever. He could lie if it would wipe the worried look off Dean's face.

"Right." Dean wiped his forehead again, then stroked damp hair back. Sam thought his fingers lingered for a minute, but everything was hazy and unclear, so it was hard to say for sure. He didn't blame Dean for not believing him; if he looked at all the way he felt, he wouldn't believe him either. "Think you could manage some water?" Sam grunted a negative; his stomach felt way too fragile for anything, just yet. "Okay. Get some sleep, then."

Hordes of goblins or trolls couldn't stop him, though it felt more like losing consciousness than just falling asleep, but Sam forced the words out anyway. "Don' go anywhere, 'kay?"

"Nah, I'm not leaving, Sammy."

The mattress shifted just as Sam drifted off, and he was borne away on a soft cloud of dreams that felt a lot like Dean's fingers rubbing his forehead gently.
