big-assed list of recs/links - SPN and CW-RPS

Okay. It's been a long time since I did anything like a LIST of recs. In fact, I'm not sure if I've actually recced any SPN fic. *ponders* In any case! This is a list (one of many, probably *g*) of stories I've read recently that I really enjoyed (the recs) and a few I haven't, but I'm linking to based on the strength of the author's other works. I want to have a list handy to work off of, y'know? And there is so.much.awesome fiction in this fandom, it's a little overwhelming at times.

If I haven't actually read the story yet, it'll be marked with an ( * ).

Off the Script, by jasmasson. RPS a/u, J2, NC17. Jensen's a seasoned veteran in the porn industry, and he doesn't like the star. You'll need a cigarette after reading this one!

Maybe This - by nu_breed and enoughoflove. RPS a/u, J2, NC17. Jared's a high-price whore; Jensen's a hollywood star on his way up. I loved this so much, even when I wanted to bash their heads together. *g*

Faint Stars and Bright Satelitte Skies - by marishna. RPS a/u, J2, NC17. Small-town Texas meets big-time Hollywood. I've re-read this one a bunch of times, and it just gets better every time. The character interactions and development are fantastic.

Last Stop: Chicagoland by phaballa. RPS, future!fic, J2, NC17. Supernatural's over, but what about family, careers and their relationship? This is a wonderful look at the imperfections and little things that make up a relationship.

Times Two - by gilascave and wolfling. Sam/Dean (mildly a/u), NC17 (first in a series) Sam is given a chance to do things differently, and he wants Dean's heart's desire. I am so in love with this story that I would marry it and have its babies, if I could. Be sure to read ALL the stories in the series, because they're all equally fabulous.

Ink - by makesmewannadie. Sam/Dean, NC17 (tattooing) Sam discovers a kink, kind of by accident, and then it takes over. This story is so hot your eyebrows will end up singed *g*

Everyone Experiments in College - by indysaur. RPS a/u, J2, NC17. College!a/u. Is there anything better? Lots of great dialogue, banter, misunderstandings and sex *g* The story is complete; just keep clicking on 'next' at the end of each chapter.

On Midsummer Nights I Dream of Winchesters - by deirdre_c. Sam/Dean, Adult. A haunted theatre, a mischievous spirit, and Shakespeare. It's very cleverly done, and the non-Shakespeare banter and dialogue is fantastic.

Green-Eyed Monster - by agt_spooky. RPS, J2, NC17. Jensen is used to wanting what he can't have, but the thought that someone else might have it is more than he can stand.

We Were Twenty - by elohvee. Sam/Dean (future!fic, a/uish) NC17 (character death). Don't let the character death scare you away. This story broke me in the best way possible. What if Sam couldn't hunt any more? Can the boys do normal? The author has some fantastic OCs that will steal your heart.

Spark - by pandoraiam. Sam/Dean (SPN a/u), NC17. Dean's a firefighter in Chicago. He meets a strange young man during a fire rescue, and is instantly intrigued and bothered. A really cool 'what if' scenario, and one that could've easily happened, if CPS had ever gotten involved. I have so much love for this story.

The Truth About Heaven - by destina. RPS, J2, NC17. Supernatural is winding down...so what happens next? Destina writes fabulous character-driven stories that pull you in and make you feel like you're part of the story, and this one is no exception.

To Write In Ancient Dreams - by albydarned. Sam/Dean, NC17. An ancient curse threatens earth, unless Sam and Dean can figure out what they have to do to stop it. This has one of my most favorite fannish elements: sex magic. The plot is great, and the sex is scorching :)

Far Side of the Sea - by ellipsisblack. Sam/Dean (a/uish, future!fic), NC17. A 12th-century Scottish village appears on the Carolina shores, and then disappears again, with Dean inside it. I'm still all *flail!* over this story. It's chock full of details and layers. The voices are fantastic, and Elle's done fantastic things with Celtic mythology. It'll make you ache, and laugh, and cry, and wriggle, and the ending will definitely catch you off-guard.

When I Look At You (I've Got A Second Chance) - by sinoftheday. RPS a/u, J2, NC17. JT really doesn't want to go to soccer camp, but once he meets Jensen, he decides it's not so bad. It's wonderful and sweet and hot and just so fantastic.

Rubber Ducky (You're the One) - by impertinence. Sam/Dean, Adult. Crackfic, according to the author, but it was absolutely fabulous. Dean's a rubber duck, and then he's not, and then he is. There is incredible dialogue, and you'll laugh out loud reading it.

Exact Change - by dontyouwaitup. Sam/Dean, NC17. Post 'Heart', and Sam and Dean are trying to figure things out. The author works in a great case, and a lot of bonding, and gah. There's no chance that I can do justice to this story with a summary. Just go read it; this story will break you in the best way possible.

The Promise - by gillianinoz. Sam/Dean, (a/uish), NC17. Sam and Dean are kidnapped. They make a promise to each other, not to leave the other alone. (Contains underage, consensual sex.) This story makes me ache, because so many children DO get kidnapped, and it's not impossible to imagine this happening to them.

The 1300 Days In Between by stele3. Dean/OMC, Dean/OFC ETA:I've read this one, now, and ohmyGOD. It will rip your heart out and shred it up and then slowly start reassembling it. The 1300 days between when Sam leaves for college and when Dean goes to get him, and I cried three different times while reading it -- AT WORK. Jesus. Go read this. It's fantastic.

There is so MUCH awesome fic, that I'm starting to despair of ever mem-ing, or bookmarking, or ANYTHING, all of it. I'm still trying to remember if I actually read a story where Sam drinks something with a drug in it that turns him into the horniest teenager EVER and he and Dean have sex. Or did I imagine it? Or is it elements of another story? ARGH *g*
