Happy Mother's Day

I'd like to take a moment to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely mothers on my flist. It's a hard job -- some days, near impossible -- and it's often thankless. But you all help me feel not alone, and give me support and suggestions and help, which are the greatest gifts any mom can receive, in my opinion.

Some of you have disabled the v-gift option (Hmph), but for the rest of you, there's a surprise waiting for you :)

Edit: Scratch that. I think I"m going to drive...and I'm bringing the kid with me. He can hang out in the hotel room and play video games and Do His Thing *g* I figure, considering the conversations he and I have had (not to mention the fact that he knows about slash, and that I slash Sam and Dean) and that he'll be almost 14 at the time of the con... he can probably deal with listening to a bunch of women giggling about Sam and Dean kissing. Or whatever.

Anyway. Yes. I'm going to go. Come. Something. And drive. Heh.

oh, holy cow, this is real

(This is also the end of my "economic stimulus check", HAH)

I've ordered my Wincon pass and I've booked my hotel room. It's a nine hour trip from Etown, KY to Baltimore, MD.

IF my sister can come down and get Matthew for the weekend, so much the better, but y'know...I'm not sure I'll even see my kid most of the weekend. He's already completely in love with the idea of a 32" TV to play video games on, and the pool. Heh.

Holy cow, I'm really doing this. *dies*
