I keep trying, I keep failing

No matter how many times I (re)watch the SGA eps...I can't make myself like Dr. Weir. I try, and there are times when I don't wish many evil things befall her.

But overall? I just really don't like the character. She's just too...gah, I don't know. She just annoys the holy hell out of me.

And now, back to watching Poisoned Well.

Why on earth would I hate you for that? I mean, I hope you're not seriously thinking I would?

I like the SG shows (that I've seen; I've never watched Stargate Universe), but I know it's not for everyone.

I just really don't like this one particular character. *g*

Humor fail...

I don't really think so. I don't have an opinion about the series(s) one way or another....I mean I know enough about some characters to read crossovers but that's it.

I think it's a shame they invented the concept of someone who could have been really cool and then made her.... not at all cool. I've read so many fanfics that do SGA better than SGA ever did.

Also, the actor's mouth fascinates and repels me. I don't know why, and it annoys me that a tiny physical characteristic has such an influence over me, but it does.

There was a lot of potential for her character, and yeah. It went to waste.

I liked the character initially, when she first showed up on SG-1, but once on SGA...not so much.

And I agree about her mouth. *g*

I never warmed up to the character, and I couldn't help staring at her hair. It never moved. Other than that, I don't really remember a whole lot about her -> never a good sign.

I was never fond of her either. She was better in fanfic.

We've been rewatching SGA lately. Jackson will stop whatever he's doing to watch the opening credits in rapt fascination and let out a giant happy squeal when he sees Shepperd. Only Shepperd. I think he has a favorite character.

The writers dropped the ball with Weir. And then kept dropping it in others aspects. Season 5 makes me cry tears of agony.

I will always wonder what Weir would have been like if Jessica Steen had kept the role into SGA.
