If it makes you feel any better, he'll have to pay 35% of his winnings to the IRS -- that is, $700,000. So essentially, he's already paid for that food stamp card. It does seem weird, though, that he'd still want to use it.
It's not a matter of feeling better, or whatever. I just--can't fathom the mindset that someone would win the lottery, stash it into savings and still thing it's okay to use foodstamps when they could go to someone else who really needs them.
But even beyond that, and ass-ish attitude of the dude in question, I blame the government for being stupid and allowing loopholes like that. Ugh. *sigh*
