mickeymToday is my LJ-versary. I've been here for nine years. *looks around* I have some people on my flist that have been here since that first day; I have a bunch of new ones I don't know hardly at all, but hopefully will before too long.

One of the "writer's block" questions recently was what major events in your life have you celebrated/passed/gone through with your journal?
Major home remodeling project (bathroom)
Debilitating illness
Divorce
Birth of both of my nieces
Loss of my beloved kitty
Death of two grandmothers (2/2003 and 12/2005)
Losing my home
Finding a job
Buying a new car
Being laid-off from my job
In addition, you all have been here for me when I was depressed, sad, scared, and angry. You've supported me through Matthew's meltdowns and med changes, and seen him move through grade school, junior high and now high school. You've listened when I needed an ear, and offered hugs and advice. Some of you I've met, some I've talked to on the phone, most of you I'll probably never get to meet in person...but you are as important to me as any "real life" friends could be.
I never thought LJ would be anything I'd stick around for, or use much...and now, I can't imagine my life without it, and the sense of community it provides. Thank you, everyone. :)
