I’m excited about next season because we’re pushing the “restart” button.

How come? By the way, how is possible to continue after getting the Apocalypse done?

For the creative aspect, we need to understand we just got over a gigantic climax and we’re getting into an unknown territory. The Apocalypse was avoided. That’s why we getting forward a few years and see where the Winchesters are and how it’s their lives. I can’t help, but think of the final scene of “The Hurt Locker” (2009 Oscar winner), when the main character sees himself in front of a shelf with several cereal boxes and doesn’t know what to do. The guy disarms bombs in Iraq, but gets lost on the supermarket! That is not his reality, just like not being a hunter looks like a different world to Dean. All his life was dedicated to one single task, almost like a voluntary slavery, now it’s time to face the monster of real world. That’s totally new to me, through the acting perspective, and I’ll explore a lot more of Dean’s life, that’s why I’m so excited. A kind of introspective tension, like inside monsters.

I'm trying to keep an open mind. I hated Castiel. Hated the angels with a flaming passion. As far as I'm concerned, anything is better than the last two seasons I sat through. (and yes, I know I'm in the HUGE minority in this)

I didn't mind Castiel (usually), though I'd have happily done without all the rest of the angels. Though Uriel was kind of a cool badass. But anyway.

I'm trying to keep an open mind, too, but all I can think of was Sammy! Under a streetlamp HE PUT OUT, looking in at Dean. *sniffles*

I... am torn. I'm not sure whether I like that or not, but I have the feeling that if Kripke presses fast forward, Dean and Sam will end up getting thrust into hunting again somehow anyway.

Wow. That's really interesting that he knows this already. I wonder when he gave this interview... it must have been months ago.

Based on what he says here, I think it'll put to rest what people were most concerned about when he went to Lisa at the end of the ep. Dean's unsettled and not exactly happy. Even after a couple of years, he'll still be lost without his Sammy. Sets up for a pretty big reunion, don't you think?

Yeah, I think no matter how much he might try to have the 'apple pie life', at that point in his life (he'd be what, 31 or 32 at the time Sam dove into the pit?) it's kind of too late to settle into normal, without having Sam somewhere close by (in bed with him *koff*) to help him do it.

Yep, SPN is getting a time jump. They'd been saying a CW show would get one for a while, and it looks like with the reboot SPN is it. I've heard it ranges from 2 years to 5 years. Who knows what the real number will be though. :/

*buts in* from the time-jump blind items by Ausiello I've read about, I think SPN will get the 2 year jump, because it's been confirmed that Brothers & Sisters is getting a time jump, too, and that one's going to be way more substantial - possibly five years. So maybe we'll only get 2 years? SIGH.

Maybe because it's coming hot on the heels of last week's ep is why it's such a shock to me. Plus we've SEEN how well the boys don't cope on their own -- we knew they were unhealthily co-dependent even before Zachariah tossed in the 'erotically'. How the hell are either of them going to deal with life by themselves for any number of years? :(

I want him to go get his Sammy too :( Dean shouldn't ever be without his Sammy, and vice versa. Plus, we have documented proof of how well they do NOT cope when the other isn't around. End of S2, anybody? Or how about "Mystery Spot"? Or the glimpses we got, flashbacks, of when Sam was alone after Dean went to Hell?

No, I think there was SOME time jump between when Dean goes to see Lisa and when Sam pops back under the light. I don't know how huge, but it did seem to be some amount; it wasn't "right away".

I am more upset by this than I thought I would be :((( I was FINE with the ending, even thought I'd be okay with there being a certain amount of time passed. but for some reason the idea of Dean spending years - YEARS, what, YEARS, NO - making house with Lisa and Ben while Sam to his knowledge rots in Hell? Oh man. :( Ugh ugh ugh.
