He's actually not a bad-looking guy (and recently grew a beard which I think looks pretty good on him). My friend Mickey (from work), who has dated/dates one of the other wrestlers says the real guy is pretty nice, a decent guy to sit and talk to. But they needed a "bad guy", and I guess he drew the short straw.
I still don't have the heart to tell Matthew that probably 90% of what he sees on-screen is fake. It'd break his little heart.
