It might be dreamwidth that has the 250, I don't know. I have a permanent account for LJ, and we'd been stuck at 199 for a while -- I'm most just glad to have a nice, round number, because I'm kind of anal retentive/OCD about stuff like that :)

I know *g* I go through mine periodically, because even though we have the space, I get nervous when it gets too close to the "end". (Not unlike the empty space on my hard drive -- the number goes down, I get twitchy.)
