The people making the requests on the kink_meme for mpreg, where one of the guys is pregnant all the time, wants to be pregnant all the time, wants sex all the time... have these people ever BEEN pregnant?

It's been a while for me, yes, but I remember being pregnant (delivery has thankfully blurred *g*). I remember a period of time where I would've been happy having sex 24/7 -- but it was during the 2nd trimester. The last few weeks before delivery? I didn't want anyone looking at me, much less touching me, and the idea of "being stuffed full all the time, keep me full of your babies"? Oh, HELL no. So, yeah. I wonder if the requester(s) have ever been pregnant. (We'll just completely ignore the fact that guys don't GET pregnant in RL. Earth logic? What is this earth logic of which you speak?)

Just random musings while poking around the intarwebs :)

Earth Logic is overrated. I've never been pregnant but maybe the requesters have beached whale fetishes?

*snickers* Maybe so! Because yeah, some of the requests go along the lines of, "big, hugely pregnant, bellies in the way, wanting sex so desperately" -- with a lot of emphasis on the size and extremity of late-in-term pregnancy.

I mean, whatever floats their boat, yeah? (I'll take something like that over extreme!sadist!character any day) I just have to wonder how much real experience some of the requesters have :)

My guess is...... none! Which always make me wonder how they handle it when they actually GET some.

"But I thought my pregnancy would be like Sam's was in (name of whatever story)!"

Kind of makes me long for the days of sparkly boys and alien ass!babies ;)

There really is nothing like a good ass-baby story. :nods:

I remember being pregnant (delivery has thankfully blurred *g*)

My mum says the ONLY REASON the human race continues to perpetuate is that women forget--until they get back on the delivery table--exactly what they went through last time. And then they think, "Oh, shit!"

*ggg*

Your mum is totally right *g* I didn't believe people -- other mothers -- when they told me, "a few months after, you won't remember it", but damned if they weren't right :)

I tend to assume that such people have never been pregnant. They are not asking for pregnancy itself, but for something that pregnancy symbolizes to them.

Yes, I've been talking about French literary theory, why do you ask?

Hee! Yeah, and I get the symbolism (I think. I guess). It just always seems SO ott, y'know? Ah, well :)

Probably not. XD Like someone else said, it's probably the symbolism. I can't say much though, I've yet to be pregnant either. >_>

I have to say, most of the mpreg prompts have been filled nicely. The only one that kind of made me stop and go "buh??" was the double mpreg one.

Oh, I didn't even bother with the double mpreg one. I just--de-aged, pregnant (heavily pregnant, at that!) and... no. I can only suspend disbelief just so much :P

I concur. It amuses me that soon after you posted this entry, a new mpreg community cropped up. :P

And see, all those kinds of things make me think is "dear god, why can't I just turn my fertility OFF?" because DO NOT WANT.

(I totally appreciate that for some people, it is a thing they want to do. That's fine. Just, y'know, not me, thanks. And preferably don't tell me too much about how gross and/or miserable it is, either. It's a squick.)

(Meanwhile, pregnant horses? Kind of gross but hey! baby horse! SO CUTE! - My maternal instincts are broken. :) )

Her, so true. All I wanted to do during my pregnancy was sleep. Literally all the time.

Although I did pretty much dubcon my other half into a lot of beached whale sex for the 'get it out of me, I've had enough I want to be able to walk instead of waddling around' side of things.

That said, I don't mind a well-done mpreg. I don't write them, cos I don't trust myself not to go down the way too realistic route and I figure, as others have said above, it's a kink. I don't suppose having aliens make you do stuff is much fun either, but I will never give up my amtdi!!!

I find that most mpreg is written by people who clearly have never been pregnant and are romanticising it all. And it seems to reason that many mpreg fans like it for the fantasy, not the reality.

That said, Will Young's new music video is pretty funny.

The second time my sister gave birth, I was in the room and OH MY GOD. No no no. There is a reason pregnancy lends itself so damn easily to horror.
