This anon kink community/meme thing is rather interesting to read through -- not only the filled requests, but the requests themselves. The non-con/rape stuff doesn't do a thing for me, but there's a lot of other stuff, probably a little bit for everyone (particularly since 'kink' or 'fetish' can really mean just about anything -- witness when people ask 'what's your bullet-proof kink', generally meaning cliche or trope, or the like).

What I find fascinating is the number of responses/comments to the filled requests, where people are saying (anonymously) "Oh, god, this was so hot, I have a new kink, I'm so ashamed" or some variation on that. "Going to a special hell on a bullet." As I was reading through the stories and comments, I found it interesting that there is some correlation between how 'wrong' a kink feels/seems and the number of anon versus non-anon comments to it.

I also find it kind of interesting that while the John/either boy stuff (particularly if the boys are young) has in the past sent me into a tizzy, I have no real issues with (the fantasy sort of) bestiality, as in, written fiction. I've read some good stuff, some really BAD stuff, I've written some. I wouldn't condone it in reality, and honestly? I've watched a few clips and it's just really not that hot. The fictional, fantasy stuff is much better, much hotter. Anyway. I also (obviously) don't have an issue with the incest thing, though again, it's not something I would condone in reality.

When I sat down and started typing up this entry, I actually had a point. However, I've been interrupted three times during the typing, and my memory is about as reliable these days as a sieve is to hold water. So, whatever my point was, it's lost now. But! If anyone wants to weigh in on the topic of kinks and fetishes, be my guest. I'm even going to try and be around to actually respond to comments *g*

Oddly, I opened that meme the first day and the initial page of requests just turned me right off of it. I feel as if people occasionally request things JUST to see if someone will write it. That's, like, in the wrong spirit.

I guess I SHOULD go back and see if there's anything that piques my interest, though. I'm guessing it was more my mood that made me backclick so swiftly.

There is a LOT of non-con/dub-con/rape, and yeah, I had to keep going and going because that just doesn't do it for me. One thing you could do if you want to see what all is available, is check out their Delicious account; all the stories are archived there, and tagged so it's easier to find what you do want to read and not have to go through all the stuff you don't :)

I think I must be getting old. The requests don't faze me, for the most part; I'm "eww" on a few, medium-warm on a bunch, and extremely interested in a very few.

Some of the replies, though.... I remind myself we're -- generally speaking -- talking about a majority of folks a whole lot younger than I am. But I still feel as if this is a "squeal, OMG, can't believe I enjoyed this" sort of reaction that kinda tires me out.

And really? I AM getting older. Almost the only drawerfic I still write deals exclusively with MY bulletproof kink, which is hermaphrodite fiction -- and I really don't even know if THAT kink even hits a lot of folks's radar. I wonder if there have been any requests like that.

I...have no point to make here, except that I am evidently getting VERY OLD. ::whimper::

I think you're probably right, to a greater extent, about the age and the squee! reaction and so on.

I didn't see requests for hermaphrodite fic. There were a number of gender-bending requests, and some gender-fuck stuff (Jensen or Dean in makeup, that sort of thing), though.

I totally had to LOL at myself that anyboy/male dog didn't faze me at all, while either J/Harley totally squicked me. apparently if I "know" the dog it's not okay? WTF, SELF, WTF? *facepalm forever*

That whole meme made me want to go off and do a psychology degree. I am just endlessly fascinated by what turns people's cranks and what doesn't. For me, for instance, some of the kinks would be all in my OOOOH box, until I got to the part that said "dub/non con please" and then I was turned RIGHT OFF. But for other people that is the best part! and whatever had me going to begin with they could totally take or leave (or would much rather leave). It's just all so interesting!

The J/Harley stuff didn't faze me, I suspect, because it's just...well. If the idea of J2 happening is unlikely, then that makes the other even MORE unlikely, and I dunno. There's a disconnect in my brain *g*
