mickeymNo names, but some of you will probably recognize who I'm talking about :) I think the next batch I do I'll aim for shorter -- maybe one sentence, so I can do more at once. Or maybe not, who knows. This was fun, in any case. (And random. They don't go in any order.)
01. You are one of the sweetest people I know. We don't get to talk nearly often enough, and I miss email chatting with you. Talking with you, even when we're doing a !!!! over something, it's calming. You're calming. You're also very talented, and I wish you had more time to write, because you've done some of my favorite stories in fandom and like a greedy thing, I want more. :) *hugs you*
02. We are so different, yet so alike. I feel sometimes like we can finish each other's thoughts or sentences, which is really comforting -- to have that kind of a connection with someone is awesomely cool. I think you're an incredibly smart, incredibly sharp person. You take things apart and inspect them, break them down, understand things in a way I feel is beyond me. I wish I could do that, but I'm happy to watch you do it, just the same.
03. You make me smile. A lot. Your stories make me smile, laugh, cry, yell; I am so jealous of your talent :) Talking with you is comfortable and comforting at the same time, and I feel like my day isn't a complete one if I haven't at least done an email swap just to say hi. You're busy, but you always take time to send a hug when I need one, or lend an ear, and I can't tell you how much that means to me.
04. We met through a third party, and I'm so very, very glad we did. You're always there for me. Whether it's to send me an email pic spam, or just a virtual hug, or a 'hey, you okay?', you're always there. You're warm and caring, and you give your time and yourself, and when I say I'm lonely you always, always respond. I feel like I can wrap myself up in your friendship, and wear it as protection against the big, bad world. That's an awfully nice feeling :)
05. You have a huge heart, and lots of love to give. You're scary-smart, and so incredibly talented, and I love talking to you. We haven't done that nearly enough, in particular, lately. I admire you for the choices you've made in your life; uprooting yourself from family, etc., and then doing it again in reverse. Starting over with school. Putting yourself out there, even if it makes you uncomfortable, because you believe in something. You're awesome :)
06. If it's possible to have a non-familial twin, you're mine. I swear at times I think we lived the exact same life, because so many things match. You're an incredibly strong woman. I know you don't think so, and you suffer from low self-esteem, but you are *so strong*, it's inspiring. You're so incredibly kind-hearted -- sometimes too much so, I think, because you get hurt so often, I wish I could wrap your heart up in something to protect it. But even without that, you keep wading back in, trying. Giving. Loving. I adore you endlessly, and I always will.
07. You remind me so much of myself it's kind of spooky. I think you're adorable and fun, and I wish we got to spend more time together. You're incredibly talented and generous with that talent, and with your time. Your love for your family is a wonderful, tangible thing, and I love to read about/hear about them. I am thankful every day that we're friends, and I hope we stay friends forever.
08. You are a gorgeous, gorgeous woman, inside and out. I crushed on you so hard when we first started talking, along with a generous helping of 'eeee, she's talking to me!' I had to work hard at first not to come off as too fangirl-y because I didn't want to scare you away :) As I got to know you, though, I really came to love the whole person. You are fabulously talented, intelligent, interesting, with a whip-sharp sense of humor. You're also not afraid to express your opinion, or stand up for right or wrong. I wish I had that courage. You make me think and consider, and I appreciate that.
09. You are cute as a button, and so smart and talented, and just fun to talk to. I love the emails I get from you, complaining about this or that in class, and how you let me rant and vent about whatever is going on in my oh-so-mundane day. You're the sort of person who seems to put out a warm light, kind of saying "hey, come on, it's safe here"… I know, because I was drawn in to that light, and I'm so glad for it. I wish we lived closer so we could hang out more, because you are an awesome person to hang with.
10. I remember seeing your name in comments on some of my stories, and then you started posting your own stuff. I read it…and was completely blown away. You are, without a doubt, one of the most talented writers I know. Your stories make my toes curl and my breath catch, and engage all my senses. You're smart and fun, and so incredibly kind. You're very generous with yourself, with your love and friendship; you always have a kind word or a hug or words of comfort to share. This last year getting to know you has been a wonderful one for me, and I look forward to more of them, because you are a blessing in my life.
