thank god for friday
Apr. 25th, 2008 05:00 pmWeird week, all around.
Yesterday, I managed to give myself a mild bout of food poisoning. The milk smelled a little off...and I used it anyway. Really stupid--because my stomach is touchy under the best of circumstances. *rolls eyes* Phenergan (yes, I carry it with me ALWAYS) took care (mostly) of the nausea, but left me with cramps and diarrhea that lasted through a couple doses of imodium. I gave up and left work about 1:30; was home and in bed, zonked out, by 2:30. Enjoyed last night's new SPN, but it's hard to get too !!!!! when your belly is still rumbling and grumbling. Ah, well.
Decided to stay home this morning as the belly was still doing the rumbling/grumbling thing. Went back to bed even before Matthew left for school, and slept 'til about 10a. Finally ate a turkey sandwich some time around lunchtime, and eh. My stomach still isn't entirely sure what it thinks about food -- or liquids, for that matter. Though the banana I had a bit ago went a little smoother.
Matthew's doctor called me this afternoon with the results of his bloodwork, and it was clean for anything rheumatological. She's still concerned about the stiffness he showed though, so she's going to refer him to an orthopedist, so we can have all bases covered. Good grief, Charlie Brown, is all I can say at this point. Gah, I just realized I need to still get the damn xray done. *headdesk*
Made some progress on my Big Bang -- though it doesn't look like it, since my word count went down suddenly. Yay for getting stuff moved around and sorted out? *sigh*
Now to figure out dinner, and then get back to work writing.
