And? I like Ruby. I know I'm in the minority, but I do. And I'm glad they didn't take her up on her offer (easy way out much?)....
Also... How interesting that DEAN was the one protesting the innocent life and Sam stayed silent when at the start of season one it would have been reversed?
I like Ruby. Bela? I hate her. Passionately. And every time she does something like this -- work a way to screw the boys a little more -- I hate her that much more.
I don't know that, at the start of S1, either of them would've NOT protested. The only time we've seen Dean take (or consider taking) an innocent life was when Sam was in danger (end of S1) and in Croatoan, with the demon virus. But you're right, it's a huge change for Sam. And I was really hoping Sam wouldn't go that way. I don't want him to be that guy.
Bet there's some interesting conversation between Dean and Sam later, about the one 'gunning' for Sam. Though it shouldn't have come as such a surprise to Dean, imo -- remember his chat with Casey, earlier in the season? How she said it was leaderless *right then*, but I dunno. I thought the implication was there "until someone steps up" (since Sam wouldn't/didn't). Also? Considering what Dean knows, from his chat with Ruby a couple eps back, that he hasn't shared with Sam (I'm sure), he better not pitch too big a bitch. Heh.
