Geez, Mother Nature
Sep. 4th, 2008 08:50 pmI think three hurricanes all at once is a bit much. Good Lord.
If anyone in the projected path of Hannah, Ike or Josephine needs a place to evacuate to, I have two comfy couches and plenty of floor space, and pets are fine as long as they're not reptiles of any kind. Heh. But seriously--for those of you on my flist, if you need to get out of Dodge for a bit, you can come here. Drop me an email at ohmickeym at gmail dot com, and we'll figure something out.
I took Matthew to the doctor today. No ear infection (and the strep test was negative), but definite signs of a sinus infection. So he's on a Z-pack for that, as well as Claritin and Nasonex, to try and combat the fall allergies his doctor thinks is causing this. Because looking back over his chart, this happens ever spring and every fall--and I know from news reports that pollen counts are sky high right now. I'm going to keep him home one more day; he's still very congested and coughing, with low energy levels so hopefully the extra rest + antibiotics + weekend will = healthy kid come Monday.
I was reading back over old journal entries last night, and thinking about where I am now versus 2005, 2006, etc., and man, September 2005 was hard to read. A month very much filled with rage, frustration, sadness, helplessness. I'm liking 2008 a lot better.

Went to Best Buy this afternoon and got S3 of Supernatural. Matthew and I watched Mystery Spot, Jus In Bello and Ghostfacers. I love those boys so, so much. Also? The roast beef-on-asiago-cheese-bread from Panera? SO GOOD. Yum.
