So, I'm sitting here on the couch in my nightgown, covered up with a comforter while I finish my final chapter of homework. I haven't showered today, I haven't brushed my teeth, or my hair -- in short, I'm a mess (and I don't care because it's 630p and I'm ALMOST DONE WITH SCHOOLWORK).

Matthew just called me and said, "hey, mom, Justin's got some friends over and he wants to bring them over to meet you now, is that okay?"

*facepalm*

Needless to say, I said NO.

Done with the chapter work. Now I have two finals to take (one of them open book, the other not) and then I am DONE. With schoolwork, anyway.

Matthew likes to spring unknown people on me, too. Usually when I haven't bothered to do more than put on sloppy, comfy clothes, and when the house is messy and shouldn't be seen by anyone outside of those of us who live here.

Okay, that's kind of cute. Dude, my friends never wanted to meet my parents. I had to ride herd on them just to get them to stand at the back of the crowd at parties like they were covered in hickeys and weed stench and waiting to take a knife to somebody.
