Okay, I LOVED this episode. I don't know that I've enjoyed an ep so completely since...Jesus. Season two, probably. I'm glad the Campbells are all gone (though I didn't mind Gwen quite as much as the others). I'm glad that they have some information now on "Mom" -- though, gah, that thing talking through Bobby was creepy as FUCK.

I'm so sorry to see Rufus go :( I liked his character. I really liked another glimpse into Bobby's history -- and the history he shared with Rufus. I particularly liked Dean saying that it doesn't matter what they do, clean slate, all is forgiven at the end. That their lives are too short to hold grudges.

My favorite moment, though (aside from the Dean moment up above), was near the beginning, when Bobby says to Sam, "take Dean for a walk". HEE!

So yeah. I liked this a lot. Good ol' monster-of-the-week episode that had me smiling all through it -- until the end, when I cried over the expression on Bobby's face as he poured the whiskey on Rufus' grave.

P.S. - NO NEW EP UNTIL APRIL 15??? GAH.

It's a damn good show that can make me go ewwww, then ahhh! then awwww, and mean every one of them. I loved how in sync the boys were, so protective of each other, their togetherness recognized by everyone around them. It felt *good*, like S1 or S2 good. And Jim Beaver made me cry in that last scene, along with Dean's speech about family and forgiveness. April 15 tho...damn :/

I am all verklempt at fierce blanket-apology-and-forgiveness-Dean, and at Sam doubting it applies to him, and at Dean making damn sure Sam knows it does, it absolutely does, he's forgiven.

There was much other awesome in there, too.

This was the first ep in a very long time when I actually felt some tension again. I haven't cared very much if (non-Winchester) people dropped like flies--and suddenly I cared very much. I hope they sustain that trend.
