Time for holiday nostalgia, y'all :)

For those of you who weren't coming of age when dinosaurs roamed the earth back in the 80's, this was the first "help the starving people" efforts done by the pop community. Band-Aid included members of Duran Duran, the Police, Bananarama, Boomtown Rats, Big Country, Culture Club, and way too many more to list (or remember). This single and the accompanying video were released in 1984; I remember watching the video when it was premiered on MTV (back when they showed music videos *g*).

I *still* get happy chills hearing this! Still adore it! I remember when it came out, buying up every copy of the 45 in several different record stores to give them as X Mas presents and feeling so New Wave and humanitarian!
