...and I thought yesterday was the pinnacle of my insanity

For Halloween this year, Matthew wanted to have his friend Eric come over, spend the night, and they were going to play XBox and watch horror flicks. I said fine, and made plans to spend the evening hiding in my room upstairs, doing other things. Probably with headphones on.

Then last night, Matthew asks if Justin can join them. Sure, I said, what's another boy?

And this afternoon, just an hour or two ago, Matthew comes to me with his phone to his ear and says, "can Avery spend the night, too?"

And I said yes. *headdesk*

So, to recap: I will be having four teenage boys, ranging in age from 15 to 17, in my living room, hyped up on sugar and caffeine. All night.

Send help. Or booze.

I guess...I'd rather be the place they all want to come to, than not. Because this way I know who he's hanging with, what they're doing, what they're ingesting. Plus I know all their parents -- which seems to happen less and less these days.

Actually? Anything to do with vomiting scares me, no joke. I have a serious phobia about it. Poor Matthew--the few times he's thrown up he's had to clean up after himself, because I just couldn't. (Plus he cleans up after ME. *sigh* I suck at that aspect of parenting.)
