OMG YOU GUYS! I did my official weigh-in today at the clinic...

27 pounds!

19 of those were FAT, not water. Take THAT, Jen.

My BMI went down five points, too.

The PA that I see, Denise, said that of all the people she sees, on this particular program, no one's ever done this well for the first two weeks. She told me she's proud of me, and very pleased with my progress and success. And when I told her what my sister had said at the beginning, she said "make sure you tell your sister that 19lbs of that is fat". :)

HOLY CRAPCAKES, I am proud of you! You know what works for me when I feel down or like I'm struggling? I find something that weighs approximately what I've lost (a 25lb weight and a 15lb weight atm) and hold it for a while. Or try to do something you used to do when you weighed more, like carry that weight up a couple stairs. It not only reminds me how much less strain is on my body now that I'm lighter, but I can physically see a representation of the loss.

I'm pretty proud of myself :) I'm trying really hard to remember that I can still have treats, I just have to be rational about them: have fajitas, but just one order, no extras -- because if I get a double order, they'll be there. Or have an apple or banana instead of chips and cheese dip. Sit at the table, not in front of the TV.

I've heard that doing that representation thing like you're talking about, with weights, works really well. I might try that -- though I have a long way to go before I'm in any condition to try and do stairs with the weight 'back on'. Heh.
