Lucylooo passed away this morning. She was a smart, passionate, sassy, talented lady who will be missed a great deal.

I knew Lucy first in The Sentinel fandom, when she was writing as Mona Ramsey, though we didn't interact much then. I met her again in popslash when she was reggie_mbq. She was one of the first people to welcome me into popslash, and I remember a lot of fun conversations on AIM, squeeing over pretty boys -- and the excitement of getting mail from her, packages filled with stickers and posters and other bits.

We drifted apart, lost touch, but like so many of the wonderful people I've met through fandom, I never stopped thinking about her; would wonder occasionally how she was doing and what she was up to, and figured at some point our fannish lives would intersect again. I'm so sorry they didn't.

I am immeasurably glad that I knew her, that so many of us knew her, because she stays alive in our memories.

Rest in peace, Lucy. I'm glad you're not hurting any longer. *loves*
