Y'all, I just got hired on to do article writing for a project on Elance.com! If it works the way the project description read, it has the potential to be a long-term thing. So I have *something* to make a little extra money with, until a job presents itself.

Writing! GETTING PAID TO WRITE! This is so cool! Good lord, I will never get to sleep now, I'm too hyped up!

I actually signed up with them last summer, but only did one job. Then money started getting REALLY tight, so I dropped my membership to basic/free -- and only got one category I could bid in. So I sucked it up today after reading through the projects listed, and upgraded my membership. Which turned out to be a Very Good Thing :)

Even if it only turns out to be enough to cover my COBRA each month, that'll help. Y'know?

Sign up for Demand Studios, too. I'm using that one almost exclusively right now because I don't have any control over my free time/work time. Elance you're working for a client and can conceivably make more money with fewer stupid rules, but you don't compete for jobs on Demand Studios, so if I've got 20 min while I'm waiting for my mom to get her clothes on, I can grab a $3 or $7.50 assignment and make some money. It adds up over time.
