reactions and whatnot for 5x10
Nov. 19th, 2009 09:30 pmI am NOT going to be happy if Jo dies. I mean, c'mon, JO. Who yes, was kind of annoying in the very beginning, but she grew on me. C'mon, don't kill Jo.
Okay. Now that the ep is over and I've STOPPED CRYING, Wow. That was. Well. Brutal, comes to mind. Very, very good, don't get me wrong. But Jesus, was it brutal.
I'm glad (mostly) that Ellen stayed with Jo. As
I absolutely loved the last moments each Winchester had with Jo. Sam, squeezing her hand, and the forgiveness and love in Jo's eyes. The kiss Dean gave her -- both, but the one to her forehead, it was so tender, so caring. No, I don't believe he was in love with her, but I do believe he loved her, after a fashion. Someone he respected, cared about, thought a great deal of. Hell, I'm crying again. Well, it's okay. Both Harvelle women rock, and deserve nothing less than a lot of tears as a tribute to them. And Sam Ferris and Alona Tal knocked it OUT of the ballfield, with their performances.
All of the actors did.
I love how sneaky Castiel was, getting out of the fire trap. \o/
Crowley certainly has insight into Lucifer, doesn't he? Interesting to see Lucifer being all, "they're just demons" there as Death is rising...at the same time Meg was insisting that Lucifer LOVES them all. Uh-huh.
"I know you'll say yes, Sam. In about six months, in fact, in Detroit." God, that gave me shivers. Plus, what the HELL are they going to do, if the Colt doesn't work... I feel fairly certain that the last few episodes of this season will wreck me, completely (and no, I have no idea, so that's just my opinion, drawn against this ep).
I... am just wrung out, y'all. Completely.
ETA: There is at least one spoiler for a future ep down in the comments, so beware.

Date: 2009-11-20 02:59 am (UTC)However? This episode rocked it and more than makes up for last week's, no matter how gut wrenching.
ETA:
I probably would have cried if I hadn't been distracted emailing my cousin's wife for most of the episode. EEK

Date: 2009-11-20 03:05 am (UTC)On the other hand: Winchesters on the locked psych ward = all I want for Christmas. Pity I don't get it until January 21.

Date: 2009-11-20 03:07 am (UTC)And like I said, if I hadn't been so sidetracked, I would have cried. As it is, I'm going to have to download tomorrow and rewatch it (which I haven't bothered with for a couple of weeks).
Jan 21 is when they come back then, evidently?

Date: 2009-11-20 04:40 pm (UTC)I have to watch again, but I kept saying, "Oh my god, they need to submit this to the Emmys. Both for principle actors and guest stars."
