why yes, this IS my life, thanks
Nov. 9th, 2009 02:06 amThe people came and got Matthew's bunkbeds yesterday, leaving a big ol' empty space in his room that's in desperate need of vacuuming. Matthew came to me earlier today and asked if he could sleep in y bed, since he didn't think the couch would be comfortable enough. I said fine, he could have nights, and I would just sleep days this week, no big deal.
So we got me settled on the couch and he showered and came down for his pills...and then said, "are you staying down here all night?" I said yeah, because what was my other option? Sit at my desk and wait for my feet to explode from the swelling? He says then, "I don't really want to sleep up there if you're down here... so I think I'll sleep on the other couch." *facepalm*
So, here we are, at 2:10a: me on the small couch with my feet up... and Matthew snoring and moving restlessly on the other couch. Oi.
(And no, me and him both in my bed at the same time isn't really an option; we're both too used to having the whole bed to sleep on, and he's waaaaaaaay too restless a sleeper, all wiggly and shifting and moving.)
I think it's going to be a long week, y'all.
