Something I never caught before now, in the Bloody Mary ep: the argument Sam and Dean have in the car, on their way to find the mirror. Sam says to Dean, "that girl back there is going to die if we don't do something" (meaning Charlie, of course)...but would she have died? Because Mary killed people who had secrets, and by then Charlie had told Sam and Dean what her 'secret' was.

Just something to ponder at 1:52a :)

They never did follow through with why Dean's eyes bled, but I'm still convinced that it had to do with the Shtriga.

I keep waiting for that to pop up! because... yeah.. Dean's bleeding and he's got secrets. But what exactly made him bleed like that? If I remember the ep. right, it had to do with them feeling responsible for someone's death... so who did Dean think he killed? Tee hee hee... I figure it will all come out eventually. At least... i'm hoping Kripke will come back with a real answer for that one :P

Well, the way I figure it, it was related to the shtriga -- because if he'd done his job and protected Sammy, their dad would've gotten it. But having to take time out to drive the boys up to Jim Murphy's, he lost the trail. So Dean felt guilty for all the deaths caused by shtriga that got away.

Not, um, that I've put any thought into this, or anything. :P

This one kills me, because it could be so many things! How many times has someone died before they could finish a job? Hell... does he blame himself for Jessica's death? How the YED wouldn't have come if Dean hadn't taken Sam away??

Tee hee hee... so much history that it could be even from what we know in the show. What about all those years we know little to nothing about? :P

i figured that as is oftent he way with vengeful spirits, mary didn't strictly follow her own rules. See also the woman in white, who didn't seem to care that Sam hadn't been unfaithful.

I have always assumed it was the striga thing too. but then again Dean as a few secrets and he feels guilty for most of them.

I vote for the striga, too, because in the Then/Now teasers before the episode aired, they showed the bit with Dean bleeding in Bloody Mary.
