really, why is it always my toes?
Jul. 4th, 2009 03:56 pmOr my feet? Seriously.
Matthew had his dumbbells laying out, and I bashed my foot right into them as I was walking past. Left foot, bare of course because I'm inside, in my nightgown. I think the littlest toe might be broken -- it's bruising up pretty nicely (so is the area in between it and the toe beside it) and it looks kind of... at an odd angle. I mean, I don't know for sure, since I can still move it, after a fashion. But either way, I suspect wearing shoes come Monday is going to be problematical.
I told Matthew that while I know he didn't leave things deliberately where I might bash into them, this is exactly what I've feared would happen. Hopefully he'll do better now, keeping his things picked up and out of the way.
Ouch :(

Date: 2009-07-04 08:28 pm (UTC)As I recall, there's not much you can do for a broken smallest toe. Try rest, elevation, and ice?

Date: 2009-07-05 02:29 am (UTC)OH NO! so sorry about your hurt toe!!
Last week when sadcypress fell down i looked up what to do.
Like everyone says, RICE.
Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.
Instead of ice you can use a frozen vegetable?
"compression" i think is like wrapping it with an ace bandage -- not too tight, but a little bit.
anyways, here is a unicorn for magical healing properties. bless you!
