Today, I:

Got a speeding ticket. In a construction zone, for goodness sake. If you're seeing/hearing dollar signs, you'd be correct: $$$ of them. *sigh*

Checked Weather.com for the weather forecast on my route Saturday, only to learn that there are yet MORE storms heading eastward, and there's a good chance I'll spend most of the drive there and back, surrounded by bad weather.

Also discovered, when checking the forecast for St. Charles, MO, that the Mississippi AND Missouri rivers are expected to crest above flood stage some time Friday afternoon, and not recede until some time Sunday. *headdesk*

I doubt seriously that the whole of the St. Louis/suburbs area is going to be underwater, but GEEZ. Could someone cut me just a little slack? Not a lot! Just a little bit!

Oh, and I had an email from someone with the Child/Family Services, saying my name had been referred to them for a Family Support Specialist position and to please let them know if I was interested. Oh, hell, yes I'm interested... except the position is in Henderson, KY, which is about 125 miles from me. So, not so interested. I don't like the commute I have now. That? Would be killer.

C'mon, June. Hurry up and MOVE ON PAST.

Actually we are under a heat advisory, and the flood warnings end at 9:15 tomorrow AM. Cresting is mainly in bottomland, which shouldn't have any effect on the main highway unless you need 94, but I can get you around that if necessary.

At least you weren't driving today since they had emergency repairs on the Blanchette Bridge coming into St. Charles on I-70. Even us that live here were trying to scramble and find alternates. They did this shit during rush hour.

Do you know how much the Henderson job would pay? I would at least email back for more information. It might not work out for a thousand reasons, but considering how the job market is right now, I wouldn't turn down anything without a little more digging. And who knows! Maybe a move would wind up being a great fresh start and you would love the job!

Oh man, OUCH. There's always a cop over by M's school and I'm SO paranoid when I drop him off mornings.

And oh man, sucky about the job. Are you going to turn it down or is moving a possibility?
