Nope, never! I am perfectly happy on LJ. :D I doubt I'll be crossposting, either... I'm still kinda trying to work out what to do with my DW. Currently I'm posting occasional recs but that's it.

I don't really want to move. I don't want my friends to move. (I hate change. Hate hate hate it.) Plus, y'know, permanent account here, 197 icon slots, no money to get upgrades over on the DW site. So.

Yeah, My zortified account and fic journal are both permanent accounts, so I don't foresee *leaving* LJ. But I bought a permanent account on DW because I can't afford to pay $45 every year for as many years as I expect to be online. I've had an LJ account for.. um...almost nine years. If I were paying every year, I'd have paid $225 already. (And that's with LJ costing $20 less than Dw.)

Um, which is to say, people on LJ won't lose me. Unless I get eaten by a lorry.

I'm only crossposting until DW is through with open beta, and then it'll be DW exclusively for everything (with the exception of maybe crossposting fic links to LJ).

*sigh* I guess eventually I'll end up having to read two flists. Will you still be checking LJ/keeping your account? Or will you stop doing anything with LJ, once the open beta is over?

My LJ account is a permanent account, so I won't be deleting it or anything. I'm planning to keep reading my LJ flist unless everyone I have friended moves over; I've already started filtering out those people who are consistently crossposting on DW (reading them only over there), and my LJ reading list is fairly short at this point.

What I won't be doing on LJ is participating in fannish challenges, etc., or posting any actual fiction here. Links, yeah, but after what happened to Pondy and the pornish pixies comm, I don't trust LJ as far as I can throw them. Not to mention the whole idea of putting "report this journal to abuse" buttons everywhere. Feh.

Anyway, yeah, I'm not vanishing, just taking my important business elsewhere. *g*

If DW turns out to have everything I need, I may end up moving there on a more exclusive basis, just because I dig the privacy and the lack of ads to tax my work comp--LJ has been getting more flash and animated ads lately and they've been REALLY messing up my sign-ins and surfing journals I don't have friended.

So far, I'm using my LJ for what I've always used it for, and my DW is for a different kind of reading list - I'm subscribing to various people who write Interesting Stuff once in a while. I may even unsubscribe from LJ friends who crosspost, on the grounds that I don't need to read them twice. That is, if I ever get round to it.
