But seriously. Narcotics brought in a package that contained ten pounds of pot -- condensed down into four or five "bricks" (street value for this 10lbs, according to the Narcs, is between $10K and $15K, because it's 'the good stuff') -- and then plunked it down on the scales which sit right beside where I sit. Which, fine, except they didn't just weigh it and move on; they opened one of the bricks, then a second one, for comparison, or something... I don't know. But there were little flakes floating here and there, plus just the smell (not to mention the smell of the laundry soap that was dumped into the package, to try and mask the smell).
About two minutes after they arrived and started dinking around with this shit, my throat started itching and burning, and it's still scratchy and sore now, hours later. Plus the headache hasn't gone away.
I guess it makes sense; I'm allergic to practically every other bit of plant life that grows (except ragweed. Go figure.), so why not marijuana too. Ugh. I'm going to take a dose of benedryl when I go to bed, and hopefully that'll fix things right up.
Stupid drugs.
We also had a dude come in today to get his gun, who just wasn't understanding that we need to see proof of ownership (sales receipt) or in lieu of that, a notarized statement with gun info. He was arrested on charges of impersonating an officer, reckless driving, driving 26+ miles OVER the posted speed limit, improper use of blue lights, improper use of emergency siren... So why is he getting his gun back? Because all the charges were dismissed. O_O
Working with the police department is completely wrecking any remaining hope or faith I had left in the justice system.
