We were out in 'rural' PA today (granted, only an hour from Pgh, but it counts, politically) and I overheard some woman saying that she liked McCain but she hadn't actually bothered to vote because she didn't think it'd make any difference.
Now. I personally think people should vote. As a general policy, y'know?
But I couldn't help thinking "FINALLY, you know how I FEEL."
I am SO HAPPY that Obama got PA, too. (Right now I have the sound on my TV off, because the incumbent, Mitch McConnell is giving his victory speech, and gah. The man makes me want to throw up, looking at his stupid face and listening to his stupid voice.)
Y'know, if everyone who thought their vote wasn't going to count for anything actually voted... we'd probably end up with damn near 100% voter participation.
I am pretty sure I would be DISOWNED if I did not vote. My parents FEDEXd me the registration documents when I turned 18 and was in the UK and they hadn't come yet, so I could vote absentee.
