Zee, just a little something that'll hopefully make you smile. *hugs* (Written in your baby 'verse. *snugs*)
"Kee." A tiny hand tugged Dean's pants-leg and he heard again, "Kee."
"What? What, baby girl?"
"She said key, idiot," Sam called from the bathroom. Dean heard the eyeroll that went along with the words.
"Not getting the keys to the Impala any time soon, munchkin. Just forget it." Dean swung the baby up and blew a raspberry onto her belly, grinning against the soft, warm skin when she giggled. There was nothing in the world so wrong that a baby giggle couldn't fix it.
"Kee, da," she said again, wriggling against him. "Kee!"
Dean heard the soft purr at the same time he felt the kitten rub against his ankle, and nearly dropped the baby when he startled in surprise. She kicked his leg once and Dean set her down, sighing when she made a beeline for the kitten.
She beamed up at him, squealing, "Kee!", chubby hands reaching for the small gray and black ball of fluff. It's tail stood straight up as it stared defiantly – and curiously – at the strange thing in front of it.
Dean thought of all the times she wouldn't go to sleep without her raggedy, stuffed kitten and thought , We're so doomed.
