Oh, Dan Savage is wonderful. That part was great, but I started poking around and came across a letter from a guy who suggested anal sex to his wife and she responded by showing him a Dan Savage column and buying herself a strap-on. This hilarious bit made up part of Dan's response...

And yes, MOWO, I do happen to believe that the best way for a straight man to demonstrate to a straight woman that anal sex can be mutually pleasurable—that it's not (necessarily) about dominance and degradation—is to do the gentlemanly thing and go first. Or, if I may paraphrase Barack Obama: Straight men? Sometimes you gotta be the change that you seek.

I know right?? That's what I read as well after the Palin's daughter column! And some others too, which was good for a good 10 minutes of chuckling. It makes you wonder if people really send in all of those emails, because some make you think 'this is just not real' -- but there are a lot of entertaining people in the world, I guess?

INDEED.

I worked with teen parents for two years. Some made excellent parents, some were horrible - just like adults. But 1 - clearly, abstinence only sex ed doesn't work (big fat DUH) and 2 - forcing them into a marraige simply because there is a child involved? NO and 3 - once in a while, abortions may (sadly) be the best alternative for all involved, including the child.
