I left my house this morning, about 6:05; stopped and got gas, and was on the highway by 6:12. At 6:15a I was coming to a complete stop *sighs* And there I sat for the next hour while state police and other emergency responders worked to worked to clear the accident -- an 18-wheeler and two cars. I only saw the after-clean-up (the responders had cleared things enough to open up one lane), but I would be very surprised if the person driving the one car I saw survived. That car was wrecked. I was going to fuss and complain about having to wait and be late for work...and then I thought, Y'know, it could be worse. At least I'm going to GET to work. I could've been one of the cars involved in that accident. Not a pleasant thought.

It was, at least, cooler in the office today. Only 75-76 for the day, which is downright comfortable, after yesterday's 80.

April is Autism Awareness month, so y'all can plan on some related posts from me on that topic. Meanwhile, if you have a child or know someone with an autism spectrum disorder, tomorrow (4/2/08), CNN is going to be running continuous coverage on things relating to Autism/Aspergers Syndrome.
