I love holiday mail :)
Thank you so much to
ms_nerd,
sunshine611,
kirsten_lynch,
msktrnanny,
memphis86 (sad weechesters with Rags!),
aynslee, and my baby girl
iconis for the cards. They're all lovely, funny, cute and made me smile a really lot :)
I made a big pan of fudge this morning(ish) -- mostly sitting down, because OW. The swelling/bruising that went down last night while I slept came back full-force and then some after I put my shoe back on. So I have taken it off again, because today? It actively hurts, walking around. Ow. *whimper* Matthew was cool about running in to Kroger's to get an aluminum roasting pan, because in a fit a pure genius I used my one actual roasting pan thing to make the fudge in. *headdesk* Ah, well. This works, because then I don't have to wash it after, I can just throw it away *g* We also got some tape, picked up his prescription, grabbed a burger from McD's (all the while, me driving around with NO SHOES ON) and now we're home and I am never leaving my house again. At least not until 6a Wednesday, when I leave for work :)
I'm going to spend the afternoon and evening watching TV with Matthew, and reading holiday stories as they're posted, and responding to a huge backlog of comments. In short, relaxing. :) Matthew and I have snacks galore to fix and eat later (beef stick, cheese, crackers, jalapeno poppers, pizza bites, potato skins, shrimp -- cold and hot -- potato chips, chips and salsa, we are SET, y'all) and once it's dark we'll fix them and settle in with A Muppet Christmas Carol, and then probably another Die Hard movie.
I hope everyone who's celebrating Christmas has a very merry one. Those of you traveling, be safe (
rivers_bend, I miss you already!).
Love, peace and joy to everyone, regardless of what you're celebrating.
Thank you so much to
