Desperate to read on as I am, I just had to pause and say how much I'm loving this. All the little touches: Hank, and pie and Dean cooking and the description of the cabin and Sam's righteous anger and Dean's defensiveness and the tattoos (god, the tattoos, I could happily drift off on that image for hours), and just everything. I think I especially loved the line about the jays that Dean wouldn't miss if they moved on, thank you very much ;)

This is brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.
