face-to-face fantime is the best fantime

I got to meet locknkey today! We had breakfast (that lasted for three hours, hee -- I think the server was considering charging us rent for the table) and talked and talked and TALKED. She's sweet and funny and interesting, and I would have happily kidnapped her to stay with me for another day, except she had other places to be. *sniff*

It was a wonderful way to start the day, and I'm already looking forward to getting to do it again sometime. :)

Seriously. Matthew's watching some of the "Friday the 13th" marathon that's on AMC...and I'm sorry. With all due respect to people who like that series of movies, this one -- Part III -- is so stupid I'm in danger of hurting myself from rolling my eyes so much.

Is it supposed to be scary? Because I'm not scared. Not even a smidge. Possibly because I'm getting hung up on the overly-dramatic pauses and stupid dialogue?

Okay. Girl is pushing at the door while big strong man stands there. "I can't get this door open." They push the door open and the guy says (while clicking the light switches) "the lights aren't working", and just says it so *serious*.

Guy just says, "I'm going to take a look around outside." So girl says, "wait a minute, I'm coming with you," and grabs a lantern (which was just handy) to go in another room, saying, "are you here?"

HE JUST SAID HE WAS GOING OUTSIDE.

I would go upstairs but I'm comfy on the couch...though I may have to, just to save my braincells that clearly going to atrophy and die.
