I'm a travelin' (wo)man, made a lot of stops

Matthew and Avery have been successfully delivered to the wicked witch of the west Doug, and I've returned safely. I had a phone call from Matthew that they'd arrived at Doug's place with no problem, so good on that. Here's hoping the week goes well--because there's no way I can make that drive again without at least a few days in between. *sags* Elizabethtown to St. Charles, MO, and back. 600+ miles in (approximately) 11 hours. I was gone 12, because Doug was running late (naturally), and then we chatted for a few minutes.

When I talked (very briefly) with Matthew a bit ago, I asked him if he likes his dad's girlfriend, and he said, "she's AWESOME". Oi. I probably could've gone the rest of my life without hearing that. Yeah, that was kind of bitter. So sue me.

Anypoodle, I'm home and it's quiet in the house, and while I don't want to go to bed, I probably will soon, because HOMG, sleepy, now.

An aside that's nothing to do with Matthew, particularly, just the trip in general: kind of bittersweet, because Missouri will forever be linked for me to pierson, and it was really weird to know I was there, but couldn't see her, because she's not there any more. Made me kind of melancholy.
