computer issues update

First of all, thank you to everyone who responded to the post last night (and major hugs and thanks to cormallen for her efforts to talk me through this).

I got the weird start-up screen thing fixed. I had something switched around and it was looking for a floppy drive (which I don't have), and yeah. So. That's taken care of.

Next I got it to boot from CD-ROM/DVD, and FINALLY got the 'repair' option to show up. Finally, finally got past that stupid Windows loop and got my computer to start and load and my desktop to load... and everything should be hunky-dory, right? Right. Except now everything is loading SO fucking slow. Things keep stalling out or not responding, and I can't decide if it's worth it to try and dl any of the (failed) Windows updates or not -- because I don't know which one is the one that caused the loop. Though I guess if I try it and it happens again... at least now I know what to do. *headdesk*

So, getting there. Slowly.

ETA: Length is going to vary; it might be 100 words; it might be 1000, and there are a few things I will not write: non-con, parent/child, necrophilia or scat. Not making judgments on those who like those, just, they're not things I can write.

How do I convert an mp3 clip to a .wav clip?

It's this clip, and I want to use it for my "sound" notification on my email -- but I can only use .wav files. Anyone?
