take THAT, universe :P
Jun. 16th, 2008 07:08 pmThank you, everyone who responded to my whine about the thyroid medication. Someday I'll even get a chance to respond to all the comments I'm behind on. *rolls eyes* Anyway! Taking it at night seems to work a LOT better for me. I still had the headache today, but I can work with a headache. It was the flushing and nausea that were killing me -- and I haven't had any of that, with the taking-it-at-bedtime thing. Hell, for all I know, the headache isn't even related to the thyroid medication. *shrugs* It's rare for me to not have a headache, to some degree, so who knows?
Matthew had his first day of camp at the KY Humane Society. The first words out of his mouth when I picked him up this afternoon? "Can we get a kitten, PLEASE?" *headdesk* Seriously. I hadn't even said hi to him yet. So, I don't know. I'm considering my options. Which mainly consists of thinking about the $300 pet deposit, plus $95 for each kitten (I want to get two this time, to keep each other company when no humans are home). Plus cat food, litter, etc etc, and potential vet bills. Peaches was insanely healthy, but that doesn't mean any new acquisitions will be.
My J2 checks came today! Er, well, probably Saturday--didn't check the mail until this morning, though. But! J2 checks! \o/ (For reference, see icon above *g*)
I get to spend the week down in the basement at work, babysitting the contractors who are coming to lay wire/cables for our new "wireless" scanning system. Which is a part of our new records management system that was supposed to go live today. And didn't. Heh.
In the "the universe owes me" category, my comfy, nice headphones seem to have been smushed or broken or something. They're sitting funny on my head :( This does NOT make me happy. I suspect they got crunched while in Matthew's backpack during our Michigan/Ohio trip.
Extra hugs to
cormallen, because she rocks. Yuma, dude ;)
And now? Back to writing Big Bang. Nine more days 'til I post. Meep.
