dark angel is rockin' my socks right now

So, um. For those of you wondering... YES, I'm watching them all in order. S1, start to finish, then on to S2. And, uh. Finished up the last disk of S1 about 7p tonight (MEEP), and started in on S2. God. Matthew and I might possibly have stayed up until *mumbles*12:15a*mumbles* watching episodes -- we're most of the way through disk #2 of S2. I love Max, though occasionally I want to smack her (and Jessica Alba's lips still kind of freak me out). Matthew and I both agree she's hot. Original Cindy? Uberhot, lord. As are Alec and Logan. I like Joshua. Det. Sung is pretty cool. Agent White... huh. Evil bastard, down to his core. And I get the feeling that he's something of a racist. Or, maybe speciesist? Something.

The X7's? CREEPY, Jesus. That whole bat thing. *shudders*

Anyway! It's very late, I'm about to keel over from the tired, and I didn't get my Will-you-be-my-Valentine thing typed up yet. But. I just wanted to gush a little about my Dark Angel love. I will freely, happily admit that yes, I started watching because Jensen's in it. But I was hooked in just a few eps into S1, LONG before Jensen even showed up in the one ep as the oh-so-doomed Ben. (And lord have mercy, the ending of THAT ep broke my heart. *sighs*)

Now to go and try to power nap, or something. Tomorrow's going to be a long day.

Pee Ess: I know this is going to sound really weird and not like me, but I'm kinda groovin' on the xover pairing of Sam/Alec. Yes. Weird, I know. And so totally against my SAMANDDEANFOREVER otpness. I dunno, either.

Valentine's Day has a lot of negative connotations for a lot of people, so I'm just going to bypass that. Call it Friendship Day, or like I put in my subject line, Happy I-Love-All-My-Friends Day. I wanted to do something special for all of you, but I ran out of time and energy, so I'm going to keep my idea and do it later, maybe pick a day when we're all waiting for spring and need some cheer :)

But I did want to say, I am so very, very grateful for all of you. For the laughter you bring to me and my life. For the squee we share, and the thinky posts, and all the questions y'all have answers or suggestions for. For being there and lending an ear, and for hugs and smooches and smishes. For the flirting and teasing. For music posts, and media posts, and picspams. For the sense of community -- fannish and otherwise -- I get.

I am perfectly, completely happy without a significant other in my life, but I couldn't be, and in fact would be less than whole, without my friends.
