Holy shit, I just watched one of the most offensive commercials EVER.

AT&T. Scene: family of four, two kids, two parents. Parents are saying "there's only room to record one more show. Who should get it? Jennifer? Or Billy?" And the parents go back and forth about what each kid has going for them, so the dad says, "okay, on the count of three, say who's your favorite..." And both parents say "Jennifer!" Dad says, "ah, yeah, she's so pretty" (or something like that, which, ew). Both kids just sitting there. Then dad says, "Or we could give it to Billy, since he doesn't have anything else..."

Then the pitch for how AT&T is better.

Obviously someone thought it was a good idea (makes me think of the dipwad who thought the "Have a Happy Period!" slogan for Always products was a good idea).

Yeah, can't say that's a bad decision. The other day I saw a commercial on Animal Planet, for some new series about extreme animal phobias, and the psychologist saying, "you should kiss the snake". O_O

I wrote to Discovery and told them I was really disappointed, because if ANYONE should know that's not a good thing, it's them. Reptiles can carry the salmonella virus. NOT a good idea to kiss snakes! Geez.

I would not let that father anywhere near my hypothetical young daughter. He sounds completely creepy, he practically gives a lusty sigh when looking at his daughter and saying she's pretty.

Also, I feel like we should start a fund for the son's therapy. He was basically told he's worthless, useless and unloved.

Wow, I have a lot of hate for an advert about a company in another country but this ad has so many levels of wrong.
