ETA: Had we ever seen Castiel do the snap-of-the-fingers thing, to kill someone? That's something I associate with Lucifer.

So what makes Castiel any different from Lucifer at this point? An angel who believes he's god...that's pretty fallen.

This is bad, very bad. I can't believe Cas killed Balthazar. Then the whole god thing, oh boy. I wonder if they had been on his side if they could have convinced him to send the souls back. Of course that would require Cas not having lied to them in the beginning. I think the only one who can stop this now is Chuck.

As for being "God" - Castiel is being the vengeful sort of God that kind of defines the gods Sam and Dean have put down in past seasons.

Yeah, the yay was totally smart assed. I would have preferred a fallen!Cas over Dead!Cas but this just breaks my heart. I would rather he HAD died then go through this for season 7. God dammit.

Well now, that's an interesting thought, isn't it? Because God, as we've been told, is just "uninterested/unavailable"... if anything might kickstart his interest again, might it be this?

I knew Sam was strong enough :) Never doubted him. (Honestly, I was kind of hoping for some sort of Super!Sam who COULD take down Cas, Crowley, Raphael, etc.)

I enjoyed the ep, but I'm kind of...meh, about the continuation of the angels-god-heaven storyline. I feel like it's been done to death, and now we have another season of it coming.

I loved the Sam parts. I really enjoyed the Cas parts -- he is so twistedly in love with Dean, and D/C is totally not among my ships and yet I loved that part.

I hated the Dean part. Dean getting Cas to memory-wipe Lisa and Ben without their consent has made me sick. And Sam calling him on it has made me prouder of Sam than I have ever been.

I never doubted either- not too much anyway (you can never be too sure- after all, if Sera hadn't picked up the show, Sam would still be stuck in that fucking cage [LOL] and Dean would be moving on with Lisa so...) LOL- that would have been awesome- Sam= Prince/Superhero by day/ Hooker by Night. Dean a male model type all the time, Damel in distress at other times... Tee :3

I will totally admit i am one of those people who are gonna blow there shit,it was ridiculous. they should have started the beginning of the last episode about the last 20 mins of the first episode.the first episode sucked to me personally because i didn't give a crap about lisa or ben. and they made this HUGE deal about the wall all season and then....NOTHING,not a glimpse of hell (that we haven't seen before) no catastrophic results.i LOVE sam but not a damn thing and then 15 mins of some girl,what the fuck was that.it felt TOTALLY rushed usually the cliff hanger leaves me CRAZY excited about next season,now its like..i can totally wait for S7..idk.overall i am super disappointed i need to stop ranting lol

It will be interesting to see what they do. For now Cas is too powerful. He can probably see and hear then no matter what they are doing. I am not sure where they can go with this.

There are some specific angles--mainly things that I feel like have been unintentional (and sucky) themes throughout the season--that I've kind of got my rant on about. But plot-wise, what I'm left with is a whole lot of apprehension about how they're going to handle their new Cas storyline. Yeah, it hurts to see him go evil; I've always loved the guy. But my real problem with it is that they've made him go boring. I dunno, maybe he'll get detail in S7, but right now, it looks like they just steamrolled all the nuance out of him in favor of making him The Biggest and the Baddest, Because in Television the Stakes Must Always Be Nothing Short of Cosmic. Never mind that human psychology works the other way 'round, mainly: If y'all want us to care, the character dynamics have to be compelling.

AND THEY WRECKED MY BABY. WHAT EVEN MADE THEM THINK IT WAS OKAY TO DO THAT. :(

Castiel hasn't ever been a big thrill to me so I was kind of underwhelmed at the end. The angel story and the size it's grown to has at times made Sam and Dean seem small in their own story. I think I'm just stuck on earlier seasons and MOTW type episodes. Nothing like S1 & 2 for me. But I'll watch Winchesters until the end.

I loved the scenes with the different Sams. Love HIM:)

I don't completely agree with Dean making the choice to wipe Lisa and Ben's memories. He was meant to factor into their lives and he took that choice from them. Now they'll never know and will have missed out on all the good that comes from Dean.
