And by painful, I mean, I have to fight not to change the channel: the ad for pertussis, with the woman holding the baby who's coughing and gasping for breath.

I know it's an important message that needs to get out, but it's fucking painful to listen to that baby struggling to breathe. *shudders*

I hate that commercial too. Is that the one where they're pushing how the most dangerous place for a baby to be is your arms? It's always sort of reeked of sensationalism and fear tactics to me.

It's like the NSPCC adverts over here they're heartbreaking and I honestly can't watch them and always switch channels. I know other people who do the same so it's losing out by being so over the top because people aren't getting the message because they can't face the heartbreak of the advert.

Well, pertussis does suck. But that advert can still be terrible. D: Vaccinate! Vaccinate twice! Vaccinate an adult!
