Thank you to everyone who sent me happy birthday messages/emails/posts/comments; to

arliss for the v-gifts, and to

deirdre_c for the lovely, incredible story she wrote for me.

I really appreciate and am grateful for all of you in my life. I can't say that enough, and I don't know how to say it better than that...but that's what it boils down to.

Matthew gave me a new wallet, and (unfortunately), I think he shared his cold germs with me. I woke up today feeling not quite right. It could just be sinuses, but I don't think I'm going to be that lucky.

My parents sent me some money for my birthday, and I used part of that to buy a new desk (writing table, actually) for my bedroom. The other desk wasn't aging well, and was really too big for the room, considering all the other furniture I have in it. I wanted wood-grain, but it only comes in a black finish, but after considering it, that's going to work really well since my bedroom set has black accents (drawer handles, etc). Maybe I'll take pictures once I have it put together. Which I need to go do now, since it arrived yesterday.

I'm going to reply to all the messages/emails/etc that I got -- and I think I've caught them all -- but it may take me a day or so. But again, a huge thank you to all of you who helped make the day a little more special. :)
