It was mostly south/southwest of us, but still considered "in the area", so they sounded the sirens.
Now we're back to rain, rain and more rain, with the occasional rumble of thunder. We've had something like 3-4 inches of rain so far (since yesterday morning), and they're calling for another 2-3 by the end of the day. The whole friggin' state is on flood alert.
We just got finished with the spinoff from Hurricane Alex, which meant basically a whole week of rain (although the storm itself was far away, THANK GOD). Is it superhot where you are? Weirdly, b/c of the rain and the East Coast heatwave, it's been like 10–15 degrees cooler here than in B'more and NYC, which is just bizarre.
On a side note, thinking of you and hoping things get better.
